Project Of Month
67ft Metal Rappel Training Tower
November's Project of the Month belongs to this new rappel training tower delivered through Alpine Towers. The structure stretches over 67 feet into the air from the ground level to the top floor canopy system. The tower system utilizes Panel Built's bolt-together steel connection system. For installation, the tower was assembled in two sections with the top half of the tower crane-lifted and bolted into place over the bottom half, already anchored into the ground.
The tower system includes an interior switch-back stair system that extends to the tower's top deck. Tower columns, beams, and cross-bracing are powder-coated black with the stair system, railing, and treads in performance yellow. The tower system creates a new 57 feet rappel tower for the base, replacing an older tower previously in the area.
Thanks to Joe Lackey, Wayne Hines, and Alpine Towers for their great work ensuring this project was a success. If you have a newly installed Panel Built project, submit your photos to info@panelbuilt.com.
