Mezzanine with Office Underneath

Mayport Naval Base expanded its storage capacity by 740 square feet by taking advantage of unused vertical space. With storage running low, they needed a more efficient and organized area to work and store tools while making the most of their available facility space.

To solve this challenge, Panel Built provided a 37’ x 19’ steel mezzanine, instantly doubling their usable floor space. The mezzanine was powder-coated in royal blue and performance yellow, creating a clean, professional finish. To ensure easy access to the second level with a forklift, a swing gate was installed. Customization played a key role in the design, with the stairs positioned in the left corner to maximize floor space and keep the mezzanine’s footprint as compact as possible.

In addition to the mezzanine, Panel Built also installed an 8’ x 12’ modular office beneath it, providing much-needed enclosed workspace. The office was equipped with a wall-mounted air handler, a mini-split HVAC system, a window, and data ports to support daily operations. The walls were finished in dove gray gypsum, giving the space a clean and professional appearance. By integrating both storage and office space in one solution, Panel Built helped Mayport Naval Base create a more functional and organized facility.

Mayport Naval Base’s new mezzanine and modular office have transformed their facility, providing the additional storage and workspace they needed to stay organized and efficient. With a custom design tailored to their operations, they can now make better use of their space while maintaining a clean and professional environment.
