7'-6" x 80'-5" Mezzanine System With Bar Grate Decking

April's Project of the Month award goes to this catwalk-style mezzanine system delivered through Larry Anders and CFE Equipment Company to their customer, American Greetings. The new steel structure is 7'-6" by 80'-5" with an 8'-3" overall deck height.  The mezzanine uses bar grate decking, which is great for industrial applications, allowing for light and sprinklers to pass through the decking. 

Further, the mezzanine rail includes a series of three 5' wide lift-out gates for the convenient loading and unloading of materials. The removable lift-out gates function as a standard handrail, enclosing the mezzanine deck until the materials are ready to be loaded/offloaded from the platform.
